Than never to have loved at all.
Erm NO!
Whoever said that phrase, clearly never experienced the roller coaster feeling of happiness upon falling in love with the perfect pair of pumps and then the utter feeling of despair when you realise that your size isn't available.
I definitely wish I had never laid eyes on these Vectra studded Topshop slipper shoes. Then I wouldn't know what a wonderful staple item I was missing out on. Now whoever said ignorance is bliss, now HE was a wiseman.
As I was patiently waiting for the shop assistant to bring over my size 5s, I had already mentally added them to my wardrobe. How nicely they'd go with my Levi's jeans or how they'd be the perfect addition to a white silk shirt/denim combo. When the shop assistant informed me of the lack of my size, I can't lie- I was definitely disappointed. But that does not even nearly compare to the feeling I experienced next when the girl proceeded to inform me (unprompted-may I add) that actually they'd pretty much sold out of this shoe nationwide and online. Bam. The basic female instinct kicked in of wanting what you can't have....and oh my.....did I now want those shoes. I shamefully even considered purchasing the size 3s that were on display. I mean I knew I couldn't wear them, but I figured I could maybe keep them for decorative purposes (I really hope I'm not the only one who has thoughts like that go through their head...).
So this is a public outcry to the God of Shoes, i.e. Philip Green, to pretty pretty please make some more of these studded pumps. If not....well readers, I have to apologise, because I'm afraid I will just have to continue to write in cliches such as the ones above till then.
xxJxx
I can understand the disappointment(
