Cheap thrills....

Ever since Mary-Kate Olsen donned the Balenciaga Harness boots as her number one fashion necessity back in 2006, us fashionista's haven't been able to get enough of them (or get hold of them...).

I find myself day dreaming of outfit combo's involving these little booties and then get firmly knocked back down to earth when I remember that I do not own them. And let's face it, I probably never will.

MKO wore them so regularaly that it got me thinking 'maybe that oh-so-ridiculously high heel IS walkable in'.  So I was one of many to get uber excited when the Sam Edelman look-a-like 'Zoe' boot made an appearance.

My excitement quickly calmed though when I was greeted with the $345 price tag. Ouch. THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY FIVE DOLLARS for a KNOCK OFF?!

Don't get me wrong. I love Sam Edelman. His Lorissa shoes in nude make me feel like a total princess (outfit post coming soon). But am I the only one who thinks that 300+ is a bit steep for what is essentially a copy?

And that's when I stumbled across these bad boys....
Ladies meet the Nelly shoe.

Okay, so perhaps the platform isn't quite as delicious as on the originals, but for the chirpy price of EUR 56.95, who are we to complain?

There's just one catch....

The website is in Dutch. And the company doesn't deliver to the UK (no matter how nicely you ask-and beleive me-I've tried).

So I've taken to Plan B. Dusting off my old address book to reconnect with long lost friends in Holland and becoming a dab hand with google translate.
Bit of an effort....but for less than 60 euros, I think that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
