Look of the day K2

I have had quite a few good looks these which i thought deserved being shared with you! however, as it often happens, life interferes with our plans- i have not yet developed the art of selfies (i usually get either head or boots in the selifie snaps!!!) and i used to rush out of office so quickly (i love my job i love my job i love my job) that i kept forgetting to ask my roomie to take pics! as you will see he has to go a long way before he is able to take pictures that are at least mildly flattering!  (Ps. the guy is suspicious at to why I need so many pics - and given that he is junior i wonder if i should slighly fetter my authority by recognising i am a self restrained shoppholic!!!)

this is my pretty much ideal look for work - i feel prim and proper yet not as a spinister. i work as a lawyer in a big international law firm and while I do have to comply with the rules, at least i would like to feel that i look good!

my look constsis of:
- Vass and Co trousers (one of my fav Russian designers, is known for very good (though a bit pricey) trousers);
- a St John blouse. i love it dearly (having got it on sale for USD100 - the original price being USD560!!!!), but i will never undestand why St John is so expensive. Surely engaging Angelina and Kate for ad campaignes is expensive but a jacket for USD1500 is something i cease to comprehend!!! this blouse however won my heart for being made of pure silk, for contrasting black trim, for pleats and for sheer sleeves that sort of give a hint of your arms without giving you away;
- a cashmere Jasmine Di Milo coat. As with most of my clothes, this one was bought on sale (GBP 190 against GBP 1000 originally)! I accidentially on purpose bumped into an outlet in London, near Leicester Square (SORRY FORGOT THE NAME), and saw that beautiful, totally chic coat, with no buttons (just one hook in the middle). As luck would have it, it was exactly my size! However, when i went to pay for it, the price tag was missing and they suggested i came the next day. I was flying back to Moscow the next morning and I had to use all my persuasiveness to make them sell it to me for the price of a similar coat! Another girl was standing behind me all the time hoping I would leave the shop without it and she would get it the next day. NO WAY - WHAT'S MINE IS MINE!!! the coathas also  got a beautifl silky lining (dark purple with flowers) and althogh it is not a practical coat (it is suits you well if you have an Audi with a driver at your disposal ) i love it a lot.
i also understand that Jasmine Di Milo is a brand of a London IT-girl (the sister of the guy who dated Diana just before THE ACCIDENT!!!). Well she does make good pieces that have all chances of becoming your wardrobe staples!!!

I have accessorised it with a Furla clutch (I have wanted it for long but only got it once it was on sale) and Fratteli Rosetti boots. The boots are my favourite and its the third season that I wear them! Russian autumn and spring are very hard on shoes (take salt that they put on the roads - and you will get nasty smears on shoes!!!). I even get them to repair each season (normally I would abandon bad shoes). I will endeavour to post some more detailed pictures of the shoes and then you will understand why I am in love!!!

I am not a fan of scarves - and to be honest i am not yet good at using them. But this traditional Russian pavloposadskiy shawl is the one i always use: it is made of wool, it is very warm, it it huge enough to fully wrap yourself in it and it's recognisably Russian - and I have always liked accentuating where I am from!!
