Look of the day K1

Needless to say it is difficult to compete with Dani's enviable wardrobe and immaculate pictures - so decided to play on contrast and post some sloppy i-phone pictures with some everyday looks:).

i have just returned from holidays in the west coast and Moscow's autumn took me by surprise (yep, happens to me every year). so on my first day after holidays i decided to wear a new jacket bought in the States (Lauren by Ralph Lauren), new boots by DKNY, an ASOS dress and a no name bag I bought five years ago in Spain.

as everybody else, i am prone to wardrobe prejudices and have always disliked brown and orange colors. i have now made a firm decision to overcome this and as any "all-or-nothing" person, i have opted for a full brown-orange outlook!

i am a Russian girl and almost instinctively like to accentuate whatever I think the nature has given me (even if in real life nothing is there), so normally i often choose short skirts and tight dresses.

so this look is a bit unusual for me as it does not really flatter my figure (as you will understand later).

looks like this asos dress will be this fall's favourite - two similar block colors, pleated skirt
and a black "belt" to accentuate my waist (although a friend of mine told me i looked pregnant!!!), on top of a very affordable price guarantee at least a nomination!

what i also like is that my new DKNY boots (a sale treasure) start exactly where the skirt ends making no strip of skin visible. i think this sort of streamlines the silhouette.

and the new quilted jacket has that air of understated rural chic, with its quilted fabric and little details.

overall i felt i looked very English and not at all Moscow glamorous - changes are needed even if they are notcomfortable!

xxKxx
